Svishtov Winery

Svishtov Winery is a historic Danube producer working with fruit from more than 400 hectares of estate vineyards. Gamza holds a central place in its identity and in the wine history of the Svishtov area. The winery combines large-scale technical capacity with renewed attention to regional grapes and individual terroirs.

History

The winery’s history began in 1948 with the Sovata state agricultural holding and Vinprom Svishtov. Between 1952 and 1960, more than 250 hectares of vineyards were established in the area, most of them planted with Gamza. A new winery was built between 1962 and 1964. The business was privatised in 1997 and today operates as a modern producer with complete winemaking and bottling facilities.
