Zlaten Rozhen
Broad-Leaved Melnik Vine 2020

Why this wine belongs

The most southern wine in the collection, and the one that tastes least like the rest of the country.

Grown only in the far south-west, the Broad-Leaved Melnik Vine ripens under Mediterranean influence that reaches Bulgaria through the Struma gorge.

Tasting

Dried fig, tobacco leaf and sun-warmed stone, with fine tannin and a savoury, Mediterranean finish.

At the table

Cured meats, roast pork, dishes with dried fruit.
